Attention Ministers - Two reminders:
1. Please leave the Communion vessels out on the credenza table after all Masses until a Priest or Deacon purifies them. After the purification process, you may then move the vessels to the sacristy for the final cleaning. And remember to leave the vessels out on the counter between the Sunday morning Masses.
2. Reminder: if you cannot make an assigned date for your Lector, Eucharistic, or Altar service schedule, it is up to you to find a replacement.

Important Information for The Liturgical Ministers of the Good Shepherd Parish
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We use a very comprehensive scheduling system to handle the minister assignments for each Mass. We have a sufficient number of ministers in each category (Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers and Altar Servers) however it is becoming increasingly more difficult to fill all of the needed positions for any given time period. The cause of this issue lies in each of your “Mass preference” categories. For example: let’s say you are a Lector and you are only interested in serving at the 11:00 Mass. Once the 11:00 Mass preference is set for you, the scheduling system will not assign you to another Mass even though a Lector is needed at that Mass. A great deal of flexibility in the schedule is lost and we end up with “unfilled” positions.
What I will do is “force” the system to assign some of you even if the Mass is not one of your preferences. What would be a great help to the parish would be the “limited” use of the preference feature or, in other words, consider making yourself available to all of our scheduled Masses. The preparation of the schedule would be significantly improved. Please e-mail me at email@example.com or call me at 732-816-2754 to modify your minister preference.
